Went for a quick spin down a local lane (easy stuff) come back and my central locking's bolloxed. Works neither on the key or keyfob.

Any ideas?

No idea! Just went out the next morning, unlocked with the key (no c/locking) and before I got the tools out started her up and switched off again. Job done!

Not near any radio/radar masts by any chance?? I live near an MOD airfield and all my radio remotes play up from time to time. On one occasion I had one that flat refused to unlock, no matter how close to the car. Abandoned till the AM, worked first 'plip'.

Also, Disco's aerial is in the instrument binnacle (IIRC) so it's important to have the remote high up if the signal is poor.

Cheers.

EDIT: just re-read your post and see that the key wouldn't work, so not likely to be RF interference. Might be a dodgy control box - the 'body control module' I think is what controls the central locking.

As above.Or the fob could be out of sync.Or it could be that the fob itself has had it.Happened to me on the P38 twice.£120 a time for new keys.

As V8's noticed, it was on the key too that I had a problem, been fine since though!

If it was the blipper, this lot is less than a mile from my house. They are eight hundred foot high and used to transmit the radio time signal until earlier this year!

Save money on electricity.... put striplights all round your house - they don't need wiring up, should just light by themselves when that lot is radiating!

Rather you than me.... have you had a sperm test????
