I have recently aqcuired an ex-military signals 110 with a broken gearbox.
Having now changed the clutch and gearbox I need to fill it with fresh oil
but have not really got a clue how much and were to pour, presuming into the hole where
the shifter goes but how much do I fill it to? Is one of the side plugs a fill to
spill indicator?
Any help greatly appreciated,

Hi Jase,

The filler/level plug is on the side of the gearbox.
Depending on what gearbox yours is, it will be a square plug sticking out proud from the side.

You will need about 3 litres of TQF (automatis transmission oil), a steady hand and keep pouring until the oil comes out of the level hole.

Good Luck!

At the base of the five speed box is a large brass nut, this houses a filter assembly, give this a wash out before filling with ATF. Don't be tempted to fill your gearbox with any other sort of oil they really don't like it wink. Transfer box likes OEP90 as do the diffs and swivels, unless they've been filled with special CV type grease.
