Rear window trouble

Hi,
I am having trouble with mt rear window.(Freelander 2003)
When it gets to about 1/4 of the way down it grinds and stops.
Any advice on rear window fixing would be grately appreciated.

sounds like the regulator is faulty. its probally catching the cables and requires a new one.think they about £70

Thanks gwood, managed to take off the rear door trim and noticed that the cabling had completely frayed Does anyone know where a new regulator can be sourced cheaply?

IIRC it's a genuine jobby only. usual vendors should be approached first tho.

Fixed by my trusty helpful genius neighbour it cost me £100 for a new regulator which was relatively easy to fit, going to try and fix the cable on the old regulator
