Having just sold my Disco.3 TDV6 HSE , Im thinking about buying a RR Sport diesel - how is the depreciation going on these nowadays given there are so many around . Just looking for some general feedback from people in the know before I conclude my decision . Many thanks in advance - Barry ( Glasgow )

Go to rrsport.co.uk where there is a bit of knowledge over there, so they will be able to help you.

At the moment I believe they are in demand, so they are holding up well. The availability of TDV8s will effect values.

Just sold an 07 tdv6, loads of spec, cost me £50k new, after 2000miles had to take £43k,trade offers were £38k,tdv8 has had a big impact on them, and dealers are now selling new tdv6 at £44k, crap car compaired with RR vogue

That's not a bad price, most of the money is lost the moment you sign the papers, not when you have driven it out the door! And no it's not a RR!

some enlightenment pls

is the tdv6 being cut out and a tdv8 coming in/in already. looked on the LR site but cant see a tdv8 for new Disco3 or any mention of a tdV8 for the disco 3. Have I missed it.

Is the Disco 3 a crap car generally or just next to a Range Rover Vouge,

enlighten me pls.

TDV8 is reserved for Range Rover and Range Rover Sport. The Disco is keeping with the TDV6.

Disco3 is a different market to RR Vogue. IMHO it is a fabulous vehicle, at 30% less than a Rangie it isn't going to be as good a vehicle in terms of kit levels and 'feel'. The Rangie is awesome. As above the D3 is a family car, so doesn't require the TDV8 that's what the RR Sport is for. The TDV8 engine is awesome too.
