As per title really. Since picking the car up 4 weeks ago, I have had a few instances of it "banging" into gear (ie. When I accelerate, the engine revs a little and then it engages with a hell of a bang) frown

Took it to my local LR dealer today, who have confirmed that it will require a completely new gearbox. God knows how much it would have cost if I didn't have the LR warranty with it!!

That's what warranties are for! You should just be happy your dealer has decided immediately to replace the gearbox and not fob you off with 'they all do that sir' and then wait until the day after the warranty ends and the 'box drops out onto the motorway. . . . . biggrin

The man from Land Rover is checking it over next week to confirm the replacement, so I intend to make damn sure he authorises it!!
