I've bee looking for a solid LWB Defender for a while and think I've foun one.
WOuld normally get the AA or RAC to give it the once over but their reports tend to be abit too formal/black n white.
Is there anyone who know Defenders who would be able & willing to check out a Defender for me please?
Obviously I would be expecting to pay for your help!!

It is all well and good saying that an RAC/AA report is a bit whatever but you do have some comeback if the vehicle turns out to be a lemon. I drive a Discovery TD5 and could give you some pointers as to look for but if you were paying me for that advice I would be covering my proverbial with every word.
Check out the landrover forums - there are plenty of them and research your chosen vehicle. You will find that there is lots of info out there and if you can read beyond some folks bitterness then you will find that you can get a feel for what to look for and what to shy away from.
This isn't intended as a personal dig but there is plenty of info out there without the need to pay for it. The Landrover community tend to do quite a lot for each other without the need for payment. The system seems to be " I will help someone just in case I need someone elses help tomorrow"
Last of all, if the vehicle doesn't feel right, then it probably isn't.
Hope that helps
Cheers
