Advice on LR Christmas Present for the wife
Discussion
Hi, I've had a series 3, It started life as a diesel which was quickley replaced with a 2.25 petrol out of the two I prefered the petrol (but i soon got bored of tht and fitted a V8). I cant realy compare the two as the diesel was knackerd. but the diesel has slightly less power, 62bhp v's 77bhpBest bet would be to have a drive of as meny as you can petrol v's diesel and also se which you like best a series 3 has the luxury of a padded vynal dash, whilst the only thing not painted in a series 2 is the vynal covered foam blocks that are the seats.

Is there suddenly a rule to poke at other posters,if i want to discuss a vehicle's failings from personal experience, i was under the apprehension i was at the right place. Forgive me i'm sure if i'm wrong but i posted here at the outset of thread and did'ent just swoop in at last moment with Batmanesque' valour to grab the kudos 15:18

and, is there a web site for all things Landie?
Don't listen to Rich - and blame him, when there is work to be done on the Landy B^ggeroff
I thought it is obvious from the context that this was not meant serious; but it isn't very easy to transport that via written words, especially when the language I used isn't my native one. I'll pay more attention in future.

Bodo, YHM a true enthusiast, have you sampled a lighteight V8 BTW?
My brother had a Dutch Diesel FFR Lightweight, but it is too small for my long legs.
Had driven a Stage1 V8 for a while, and must say a V8 is just right for a Landrover. Too expensive to run though
