Anyone Sell Laptops and so on?
Discussion
A few years ago, when I needed something quite cheap and effective, I just got on eBay and found a professional looking seller selling ex-corp Lenovo ThinkPads and got one for about £130. It was secondhand so probably 2 years old already, but it ran another 4 years or so without any issue. Then, last year, I slung an SSD and Win 8.1 on it, and its flying again. No sign of letting up yet. Rock solid - will certainly do the same again if the machine doesn't outlast me.
I've done a similar hunt for a decent cheap laptop, and this is the one I decided on in the end:

Not from a PH'er, £299.99 but with £50 cashback from Lenovo - I couldn't find an i3 based laptop any cheaper (and I can't imagine there is anything in it for Lenovo!)

There are a few laptops out there that seemed ok, but I need to fiddle with them really as I can't use the OH's Dell keyboard (can't type quickly!). I do want 8GB Ram, a 1TB Harddrive and a dual/quad core processor (Intel not AMD from what I've been told!), enough power that I don't have to worry about this laptop for a good few years. And not having too shiny a screen as I work in a bright room much of the time.
Oh, and just to make it even easier, it must be a dark grey/black...
