Opening a gentleman's massage venue
Discussion
I used to know a girl who did this on a self employed basis. She would rent a small flat on a short lease and perform " naturist massages " . Most of her clients were known regulars but she did advertise. There were happy endings, but no actual intercourse.
She wasn't into drugs or even booze, she had three kids and four horses to look after and found that earning upwards of £600 a day suited her quite nicely.
What's the big deal??
The last I heard she was opening up a parlour to rent out massage tables to other self employed girls. She is providing a service to the local community.

There was a suspicious but trouble free place trading not far from where I live and one evening about 3am it burnt to the ground. Competitors and Gangsters may have been to blame but the wives,of the men,of the local tennis club were considered the culprits, no one was ever charged and I never got to experience Bubbles Massage Parlour

Being going in Leeds for years... Everyone knows it's a knocking shop, it never gets any police attention. A good thing really, if you're into that sort of thing then it's much better done in a safe place for everyone involved.

They forgot to pay their taxes that week. When I was in my mid twenties I had my own taxi.I also had a customer with his right leg paralysed and no partner in his life,so once a month off we would go to Crewe for his "massage". He went in the room with the girl and I sat outside with the receptionist/madam drinking tea.
The drill was simple, the girls were self employed and you would discuss "terms" with them directly, you paid the parlour £40 to see the girl. The parlour is charging you an entrance fee, nothing more.

I don't understand why people get uptight about the sex industry. It will never go away. Regulate it. Tax it. Make it safe for the workers and the clients. It's just a business. Look what happened when some American states legalised cannabis in the last 18 months, the Mexican drug cartels got hammered and their revenue dropped by billions. Mexico is also now 'safer' and there is now less cartel on cartel violence too.

Obviously.
Let's not turn this into another debate on the tax obligations of criminals, because I don't think it takes a genius to work out that the type of person who wants to get into this line of work probably holds their tax obligations in as much esteem as the rest of the laws they're breaking.
The point I am making is that, if a person is found to be making profits from a criminal activity (as opposed to outright robbery), HMRC can assess them for unpaid tax on their illicit earnings.Let's not turn this into another debate on the tax obligations of criminals, because I don't think it takes a genius to work out that the type of person who wants to get into this line of work probably holds their tax obligations in as much esteem as the rest of the laws they're breaking.
Whether they'll get any of that tax is another matter - bit it adds to the charge sheet.
What you are doing in essence is having a venue, in which you rent out the rooms inside the venue to girls.
In does have its dangers also, this is a well known place in Birmingham which operates using the above method, I'm told- http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2826739/Ki...

Would have through a place like that would be 'making bank'. Quite risky however.
Be very very careful about this ! Not paying taxes could be the least of your problems. I know someone that tried the same business in a sensitive area and ended up getting done for living off immoral earnings and a six month prison sentence for a first offense !
As another poster mentioned different police forces and councils have different views on this trade. For some reason Birmingham has always been very relaxed about these establishments. For years they have had hardcore porn cinemas and clubs that have advertised openly- or so i have told ! i.e. look up the private club in Aston.
