Italy want a utility bill, none of the other countries did and I really want to stop selling in Italy so I might let it slide.
I'm glad I'm not in that game, all the utilities are done online and in the girlfriends name.Do you guys just simply scan the documents they require and send them as a PDF?
I started the 'verification' process last night and waiting to hear if and what documents Amazon need. Limited VAT reg company - 2 directors - UK selling only. On the first page of the verification i put my home address in 'registered business address' but noticed on the Company House (Current Appointments Report) that the 'registered office' is my Accountants address. The directors address is also the accountants. I think this will cause me problem.

Yep this is a problem but easy to rectify.I started the 'verification' process last night and waiting to hear if and what documents Amazon need. Ask your accountant to log on to Companies House and get the appointments record, that should show everything you need, I suppose the only issue you have is if the company was never registered at your home address?
Then its a whole world of pain as they want utility bills for the company at the registered address, etc... which if its your accountant becomes a little harder to do.

What annoys me about this, is the fact that Amazon have been at this for about a year now and still seem to be confused by the whole process. As soon as something out of the ordinary crops up then it all seems to go pear shaped.Du1point8 said:

Yup. Caused myself loads of grief so far. I keep uploading documents... and they keep asking for more. Who are they verifying all this information with? Or are they just asking for enough stuff to verify it all with each other? So they check that the address is the same on the VAT cert and the incorporation certificate and the utility bill? Who do they check the passport information with?
I got this last night and felt like someone smacked me on the face. It's such a pain in the ass.
We have different addresses on different things just due to being lazy so I am going to apply to have everything under one address and send it all over.
You have 90 days to do so.
Rather sort it all then send it over before they see one odd address and start pestering my back side to find out what my boxer size is.

We got the notification yesterday. It doesn't seem like a great hassle to be honest, so long as they accept the documents we send and don't keep asking for more and more like some people have had. They've given us 60 days to sort it out, so more than enough time on the face of it.
It reminds me of all the palava you have to go through to open a business bank account these days so I guess this new payment system will be more of a Bank of Amazon. At least enough like one that the EU want them to know who their customers are.
