Does anyone know or have experience experience of how to credit check customers in real time (of course with their consent) to allow you to make business decisions from there?

Yes. We used Creditsafe for a while. IIRC you don't need permission to get a credit score as the information is in the public domain. If your customer is newly established with no track record then permission will be required for personal checks.

Happy to be corrected but certainly one worth investigating further.

Another vote for Creditsafe.

PM me if you want me to run a report on someone to give you an example of what you get from it.

Yes no problem.

I probably won't reply until this evening or in the morning as I'm off out now for the day.

How much is everyone paying for their Creditsafe subscription out of curiosity, its something that we are looking into at the moment, we did have a trial of both the creditsafe system and the experian and i was more drawn to the creditsafe system.

Thanks

From memory it's around £400 a year for unlimited searches but there's certain bits we don't have access to.
