PH as in petrol heads, rather than Pistonheads. I'm looking at a sideline retailing products that should appeal to petrol heads, on 2 wheels and 4, so where better to ask for feedback than the business forum of PH? Anything offered will be greatly appreciated.

The products are associated with number plates, and will appeal more to enthusiasts than those that run cars as simply transport.

I have shortlisted 2 names so far, both Italian based as that plays to my heritage too:

1. Prototipo

2. Prova

Cheers.

I love the word 'Veloce' (Italian for fast, pronounced velochi) , always thought it would make a good PH type product name, or maybe Pro-veloce, Go-veloce, or something similar.

Cheers, the old man had a new Alfasud Sprint Veloce. I had a couple of them too, rusty bangers, wish I had kept one!

Prova.

Easy to spell

Easy to remember

Scope for a cracking logo

Sounds 'exotic' and 'technical'

Sounds like you should know what it does - has a familiar ring to it!

Sounds way too much like provo to me. Which is a familiarity I wouldn't want associated with...

Cheers, appreciate it. I don't wish to make it too Italian, as it is not reflected in the product. Ideally it would be a single word too, but I realise that is not always realistic given the need for a domain. In terms of the product your suggestion is pretty much spot on.
