I was a Linnworks user for quite a few years (might actually have been a recommendation from here) and was perfectly happy with it. Until they decided to do a "slight price increase" that is and go from £45pm to £150pm.

So, having told them to stick it some months ago, I'd now like a replacement. The only functions I need is managing stock levels between Ebay and Amazon (e.g. update Ebay if an item sells on Amazon) and the ability to print out orders / mark as dispatched.

Not a heavy user - no more than 30 orders a day for most of the year and I don't want or need reporting, integration with Royal Mail, listing tools, any other bullst - just stock control and printing orders.

I've seen a tool called Expandly which looks ok, but then again, it could be crap. Any recommendations?

The Expandly one is about £20 - £25 per month which also seems very reasonable.

In fact, I've asked this before, and someone recommended Inkfrog. Is that still the case?

Hi

I'm in the same boat and thinking of giving Expandly a go, inkfrog doesn't seem to have stock management.

What did you decide in the end?

I am also in the same boat, I currently subscribe to both Linnworks & Trade Gecko, Linnworks for its excellent stock control features, and TradeGecko for its excellent order management. I pay about £350 a month for both pieces of software.

Unfortunately I have yet to find a system that can do it all well.

TradeGecko has order management down to a T! It exceptionally quick at entering orders over the phone and distributor orders, you can easily track payments for orders and partial shipments, plus also view customer order history. Unfortunately it doesn't integrate with eBay... Also if you have an issue they are next to useless, it took them weeks to sort out a major problem I had.

Linnworks integrates with almost everything but manually entering orders is incredible slow and tedious to the point that it is almost unusable. It also has a very cumbersome system for partial shipments, customers and order history to the point that if I used this solely it would be like taking 2 steps backwards...

Argh!

Have a look at Ordoro.com we are looking to represent it in the UK but thats a long shot - it wont link with carriers in GB (yet) but will control stock on multi channels and they should do deals.

I work for https://www.parcelhub.co.uk and we integrate our shipping services with most major OMS platforms.

Out of all inventory management software systems, we get best feedback from Linnworks, Volo Commerce and Brightpearl users, so maybe Brightpearl and Volo are worth a look?

I tried to make brightpearl work but it just wouldn't. It will be perfect for selling items as items but as many innovative ecommerce companies offer now it can't do bundles.
If A, B and C are individual products abut you sell all 3 as a value bundle across platforms (as one item as well as 3 separate items) and want to monitor stock then no matter what brightpearl tell you they don't know how to set it up.
That was just my scenario but to get an edge online you need to offer more than the average sellers and only Linn staff could advise on how to handle bundles.
