Hi Folks

Can you give me any ideas about popular work from home jobs that can produce a reasonable income so that it equates to a full time job wage?

Thanks

Not sure such things exist, otherwise everyone would work from home.

Anything creative is a good shout, graphic design/web design etc can be done from home with the right equipment and skills.

I think there's a better way to think about this. What skills do you have? How could they fit with home-working?

There's no easy way to earn a decent wage from your living room.

Could you get a conventional job that allows home-working all or some of the time? Could you do freelance work using in-demand skills that you have?

Unfortunately, low-skilled home-working stuff is mostly being done off-shore theses days so it's tough.

The best way is as above: Get a normal job where working at home is an option some or all of the time.

What skills do you have? What jobs have you done in the past?

What about using other peoples' homes?

There has been recent discussion about certain ladies using AirBNB rentals for activities other than having a break.

It depends if you want a job or to be running a business. Lots of call centre type jobs let you work from home and earn minimum wage + commission. On the other hand you can run a home based business and earn 5k a day or more.

You can see similar adverts tied to road furniture at some traffic lights.

I'd echo others comments - best to consider what skill set you have and go from there.

I'm an Insurance Broker and spent the first decade of my career working for my employers' in their offices. When I set up on my own it was just me, a laptop, a mobile and a small bureau desk in the hall of our bungalow. Now Mrs PB works with me and we've got an office.

I'd say essentially anything office based can translate to home working - with client meetings conducted at theirs or in a coffee shop. I had a 'virtual address' which happened to be in a building that had a coffee lounge in it so that worked well. Until people started turning up on-spec and I was sat in shorts half-a-mile away at home! :-p

As others have said, then there's things like drop-shipping, ecommerce etc.

Whats so hard to believe? One of our customers started selling 3 days ago and has just hit 8k in sales from his living room. Nothing special just a decent product and hired knowhow

As others have said, the best jobs are where you work partly in office and partly at home. Working from home every day soon gets old. Lack of socialising, rowdy kids barging in, seeing too much of the missus, etc. etc.

Selling £10 notes for a fiver each will get great sales. Making money is a different issue entirely.
