Hi Folks, I need to set up a business bank account for a new start up. My personal accounts are with Natwest who are offering 18 months free banking for start ups and I'm inclined to simply go here. Are there any other alternatives that would be better suited for a start up and are easy to use?
Thanks.

I prefer to have business accounts in a different bank to personal. I don't want the two getting mixed up.

Clydesdale (presumably Yorkshire in England) are doing 2yrs free at the moment. I opened one a few weeks back.

My personal banking is wth Firstdirect and I have had a business account with Metro Bank for a couple of years.

Metro have been excellent - good service, easy to set up and a recently upgraded app. Recommended

Two years free sounds good, how good is their online banking? One of the (in fact the only) reason I keep with Natwest is their online banking is really easy to use which is very important.

What are the charges with Metro? I really don't want to be paying for anything for as long as I can avoid it. Also what is their online banking like?

Details here.

https://www.metrobankonline.co.uk/business/everyda...

All free as long as you have a £5,000 balance, otherwise 50 free transactions per month then 30p per.

Online banking is good enough for me, not too clunky. Their recently upgraded app is a big improvement, very quick and easy to do stuff on.

I've got the details through but haven't set it up yet.

I've got a few online ones and they're all much of a muchness to me.

I use Metro for my business, and they have been pretty good so far.
