Sold an item and the winnining bid was an automated bid, I have sent an invoice and reminder invoice plus contacted the buyer twice with no response.

I don't do much ebaying and would like to know how long I have to give the buyer before I can offer it as a second chance option, any guidense would be helpful.

If you want to play it by the book, firstly open an unpaid item case, can do this from 2 days after sale.

Buyer gets 4 days after this to pay.

You need to close the case to get the final value fee back.

Now you can do a second chance offer.

If you do a second chance offer [before the unpaid case is concluded] which is accepted and the original buyer then pays... You risk getting a neg feedback and a case opened against you for not selling to the original winner.
