That's the sort of thing I'd be looking for.

The driver delivering the vehicle may well be the last person in the chain the receiver of the vehicle meets so it's important they're left with a good impression of the company providing that service. I'm not sure companies like BCA are too interested in good customer service which is one of the reasons I don't want to go down that route.

I'd rather have fewer quality jobs than lots of drops where there's little or no customer interaction.

Good advice. With the van/truck I'm just trying to cover most angles. I'm anticipating objection like; if only you had your own trade plates or trade ins policy insurance.

What's the likelihood do you think for a reasonable amount of work?
Realistically, the actual driving part is going to be minimum wage stuff at best.

A lot of the BCA/Manheim work is collecting ex lease/motability/terminated vehicles. The state that some of them arrive here in is shocking, you couldn't pay me enough to sit in them. It always makes me wonder what the owners house must be like. vomit

The money's not a big issue for me, but I'm worth more than minimum wage. I don't need to work, but last time I retired at 60, I got bored after two weeks. Went to M&S for what I thought was a two month contract for Christmas and was offered six months to cover for someones maternity leave, ended up with a permanent job for 18 months, loved it, but my back didn't so had to leave.

I think you've confirmed what I thought about BCA and the other auction sites. Once the sale of my shares goes through in the next couple of weeks I'll start knocking on doors.

I have a facebook mate who I met years ago....he did this car delivery lark ,it was truly incredible to watch his day pan out ...ie one morning leave nottingham drive to canary wharf East London drop the car off get public transport to Romford Essex pick car up drive to Bristol drop car then public transport to Bath pick car up back to nottingham.

Sometimes hed put a motorised cycle in the boot to do the between car trips. He said the money was awful as well
