Who had/has the Lambo with the 200-300k of mileage that he bought and partly funds by allowing people to do track days with him sat next to them. It was a 54 orange Lambo (brand new) so has been going for some time. He has had at least one, maybe 2 major rebuilds due to crashes.
Wasn't that only hired for track day expereinces though? Which he/they supervised...AC123 said:
Hi
I'm barely using my V8 Vantage and wondered whether it's worth renting it out to people? I see it's a growing market and a number of companies springing up offering to take the hassle out of it. Worth going through one of them?
Alternatively, if I was to organise it all myself, how do I go about getting appropriate insurance for randomers to come and drive it?
Thanks
Not sure how you would do it yourself. I had a brief look into this having seen how much similar cars were priced at on those websites and I think it looks a complete waste of time. The headline rates for more interesting cars are actually higher than hiring from established companies so I am pretty sure you would get almost no renters. When you did, by the time the company takes a third, you have had the hassle of handing over your car and being in to collect it, plus the stress of seeing that young cocky bloke driving away in your car - just isn't worth it at all.I'm barely using my V8 Vantage and wondered whether it's worth renting it out to people?
