It's been a long time since I thought about Yell and my time there; I'm genuinely surprised people are still paying to advertise on it as it surely must be almost completely irrelevant to businesses these days.

Thanks for posting. I had a lot to do with them in the early 2000s. Although I knew they bombed it was always speculation as what actually happened...

I had a Yellow Pages delivered to my house last week. It went straight into the recycling bin. I cannot believe that anyone uses this or Yell any more.

Remember their slogan? "Let your fingers do the walking".

Ironically that's what killed them off as people did exactly that with computers!

Maybe they could run that old ad with a modern take? "I don't suppose you have a copy of the Business Directory by Yellow Pages? It is rather old"

Had a Yellow Pages delivered this afternoon - how quaint! The front cover proudly declares "final edition".
