Compensation for a delayed refund?
Discussion
I'm due a refund from a supplier, it was stated when I made the application online that I would receive it within 14days, it's now been a month and they are still saying it will take longer because it is an 'international' payment. It's 2018, it does not take 30+ days for an international payment to be received.
The amount is c.£900 which I could really do with right now..
Is there anything I can do to get some sort of compensation, or anything to cause them the grief they have caused me?
At 2% interest a year or whatever compensation is going to be pretty limited.
It’s tricky but imo you need to be careful to keep the pressure up but not go ott and risk them becoming even more difficult.
A company that cares would be worried about negative reviews and complaints at a high corporate level so maybe worth trying that.
If they don’t care about that it may be a warning your refund is at risk.
