Just had another thought - have you considered inventing car names for the manufacturers?

I would first start with the car makers using just numbers as the models nomenclature - they obviously don't have an alfa males flair. BMW, Peugeot, Audi would be first I would approach.

The BMW Fangita, the Peugeot Blaucan, the Audi Mingella all have a certain ring to them.
