Possibly. I started to open an account with them only to find out (somewhere near the end of the process, to my annoyance) that they only allow 50 free transactions a month, charging a certain amount for each transaction over this. I run a lettings agency and have rather more transactions than 50 per month so this would get very expensive very quickly.

Next port of call is a Santander, when I have the time. I continue to use HSBC for now.
I opened a Starling account as my own Safeguard to HSBC's Safeguarding 'issues'. However, I have suffered previously for other reasons with a Tide account with another business I am involved in so am weary of fintechs and would ideally just like a normal bank to take over my business banking.

On the subject of Santander, has anyone used the Cater Allen business banking? I have a few personal accounts with them and although a very basic platform, they seem to do what they say on the tin. I have no need for anything fancy from my business banking so might be a free solution to depart from HSBC.
