Anyone know banking law - Cheques Acts and Bills of Exchange Act - and the current clearing process?
I knew it all too well twenty years ago. We used to be able to return cheques within three and a half business days for insufficient funds reasons, for example. Now, the "helpful advisers" don't seem to have to know the law and Banking Code, the way we had to in the good old days, and are telling me that it's now ten days.
I mean I know the world's progressed and everything but three and a half days to ten days????? That's some "progress" to assist their shareholders......:rolleyes:
