They must have known there would be businesses not covered in either list.
There is a ARG grant for this

£20 per head of population
I was referring to the fact that there's a list of businesses that have to close, and a list that can stay open. What's the purpose of the second list if some businesses feature in neither. If the presumption is that businesses that are not listed can stay open then why have the second list?
I agree with you.

Its a mess but we have to work with what we have.

The Govt like to make it complicated.

I can't see why HMRC could not have dealt with this as the know what type of business is being carried out at all legitimate businesses...
What should happen is, use the forms returned for the first Grant which contains plenty of information. They contact the ratepayer to sign off to say nothing has changed and it gets processed. I can see many more small concerns going tits up otherwise

Thanks Prolex for your help with these. As non essential retail we got the £1334 grant. I assume we won't get anymore in December even though we are in tier 3 as we can open?

The open grant which is in play frim the end of lockdown 2 is discretionary.

The guidance i have seen suggested that councils look to help businesses that are suffering due to the restructions.

The pot of money is a bit smaller but worked out on rv.

I would check out your councils website to see what they are doing...

You can claim this one for the period you first went inti tier 2 or 3 which was before lockdown 2...

Good luck

Did I miss loads of notifications that the CJRS deadline had moved to the 14th of each month? I don't recall getting any post about it but I've just tried to put November's claim in and it's blocked as the deadline was 14th December? frown

I received a couple of emails from HMRC. One in November and one on the 7th December.

HMRC email says:
Reminder of monthly deadlines
Thank you if you submitted your November furlough claim by the deadline of 14 December.
If you did not submit your claim by this date, we may still accept it if you have a reasonable excuse for not claiming by the deadline. Go to GOV.UK and search ’claim for wages’ for more support.
Please note that reasonable excuses do not apply to late claims for periods before November, which should have been submitted already.

Might be worth a try!

I submitted myself to their mercy and they charitably agreed an extension. Bit surprised they never wrote to tell me, I do at least read their letters if not their emails wink

As our business has been forced to close (non essential retail in tier 4) does anyone know the LRSG grant amount? Is it the same as November of £667 per fortnight for businesses that pay no rates.

Hi

Here you go

I would say if you got it in November then you should be OK.

I'd email your council as if they work in the same way as mine you wold not need to apply again.

They may ask you to confirm you are still there though

Cheers mate. I've noticed some councils have updated their websites regarding this but ours hasn't yet.
