As far as I was aware the grants for closing non essential retail was from the 5th January for 42 days which takes us to 16th February. Has anyone heard if they are extending this and if so till when?

I've just been looking as my wife asked me (hair salon owner).

Can't find anything online, but I guess they can't release any funds until we know how much longer some businesses will remain closed for in order to work out the payment.

My wife has just been told by Sefton council that there are no more grants

Not correct. As per Prolex and confirmed by several recipients who received an ‘ongoing’ lockdown grant up to 15 February, given 8 further weeks, there is another final round to April 12th.

At one stage there where 10 grant schemes so sefton may be confused.

What grant was your wife enquiring about?

I've just been awarded a further grant of just over £3000 for period of 16th February 2021 to 31st March 2021 by my local council (didn't actually apply for it this time, just an extension of the original lockdown grant from 4th January - 15th Feb)

My RV is in the over £15k band (but not over £51K or whatever the next limit is).

Cheers Ratty. Our council has said £2096 as I am in the under 15k rateable value threshold. Not sure why they've only paid till 31st March. May as well pay up to the 12th April when we can reopen.

I suspect this is because the dates are fluid and they might bring them forward

I wonder if they'll backdate or forward date this one

Have you actually been paid the money, or have they told you that it’s due?

Just had a phone call off the council asking if everything was the same as before such as bank details etc and the council has stated on their website we will get paid this week or next.

Oh right ok. I’ve not heard anything from my council. I had the last grant and can’t re-open until April 12th so hopefully I’ll receive something soon.......

My council always seem to be the last to pay but at least they do.

Has the Government yet published the full details of the latest Coronavirus retail and hospitality re-start grants announced in the budget?

I can’t seem to find the full specific details on the eligibility for and amounts of these latest grants anywhere - just general news stories.
