Has the Government yet published the full details of the latest Coronavirus retail and hospitality re-start grants announced in the budget?

I can’t seem to find the full specific details on the eligibility for and amounts of these latest grants anywhere - just general news stories.
Same, no details at all.

I suspect they have to advise local councils-who have time on the basis the last payment is to 31 March and some are still outstanding. (On the prior scheme).

This is just pulled from a random council website - one of the few that has anything up yet I think:

"Although we are awaiting further qualification and administration guidance (and grant funding), it is likely that this grant will be made available to qualifying High Street, Hospitality and Leisure businesses from April 2021 onwards and:

Non-essential retail businesses will receive grants of up to £6,000 per premise.
Qualifying Hospitality and Leisure properties with a rateable value of £15,000 or less, will receive a one-off grant of £8,000.
Qualifying Hospitality and Leisure properties with a rateable value over £15,000 and less than £51,000, will receive a one-off grant of £12,000.
Qualifying Hospitality and Leisure properties with a rateable value of £51,000 or above, will receive a one-off grant of £18,000.
As soon as we receive additional guidance and funding, we will make automatic payments of this grant where possible to eligible beneficiaries (if you have not successfully applied to the LRSG, you may need to complete a new application for this specific fund - an Restart Grant application form will be made available to customers in April)"

Looks like the previous ones in April to me, managed by the councils..

May be of interest.

Hot off the press

https://www.gov.uk/government/news/business-rates-...

Looks like the potential revaluation is not taking place.

New reliefs available for businesses who did not get help last time

worth a read

Thanks Prolex. My local council has stated on their website we should automatically get the restart grant of £2,667 without applying as we received the other grants for having to close and are in non essential hospitality.

I'm a little late to the party on this front, however I'm wondering if someone can advise. I tried contacting my local council for a grant yesterday to no avail. We received 10k for 2 of my companies back in March 2020. Since then, we haven't accessed any other financial help.

One of my businesses is unable to trade. Last month, we agreed to rent out our premises which it occupied and shall adopt a different model (hire space adhoc and move to teaching within peoples offices/facilities opposed to our own). Am I still allowed to apply for the grant which was launched in Jan given we have suffered the last few months. Or do you need to be currently occupying the premises at the time of application? company is solvent and was established in 2018. I don't want to do anything untoward. However, I welcome any government support given the financial implications it has had on the business.

Furthermore, the other business we have which is still operating but in a limited way, seems to be unable to get any funding as I'm late to the party. The local council website says:

Local Restrictions Support Grant (OPEN BUSINESSES)
This discretionary scheme is for businesses that were not mandated to close but have been severely impacted by Tier 2 or Tier 3 restrictions. This scheme ceases to apply in Tier 4 and National Restriction periods.
This scheme is primarily aimed at hospitality, hotel, bed & breakfast and leisure businesses. This can be viewed in our Local Restrictions Grant Policy below.
We will assess eligibility for this scheme from the Local Restrictions Support Grant (Closed Businesses) applications. There will not be a separate application form.
Our funding allocation received from Central Government up to 30 December 2020 has been distributed in full.
The closing date for applications is 31 March 2021.

Any guidance is welcome! Seems I'm a little late....

I would apply ASAP

Your council will contact you if not sure.

You need to be in occupation

Also mandated to close for one grant

There is a disctetionary gtant called ARG which may be your best bet

Again you have to be in occupation for this

The profile for eligibility for LRSG (O) seems to vary quite a lot area to area. I'm not sure if this should be the case.
I applied and was told that we didn't fall in to those eligible yet on other council sites I'm sure we would.
I was successful with the ARG which in itself may preclude a payment from LRSG(O) but I never got that far.

Thats the problem with discretion. Govt have pushed blame onto councils.

Maybe email your council with other councils?

Also contact your councillor... Normaly a discretionary scheme has to be approved by counillors

Do you employ many local people? If so mention that

Indeed re councillors - so schemes get designed to be populist, not fair smile

We hit our year end yesterday, which lines up perfectly with the pandemic.

Our turnover is very similar to the year before, but online in now 60% and retail is now 40 %, previously it was the other way around.

With furlough money, grants and a council tax holiday, we have received money within 5% of all the money that we have paid the government this year, made up of CT, PAYE & NI and VAT.

Oh, and the bounceback loan sits interest free in my account waiting to go back when due

Whilst we haven't made a fortune, but we have survived and I am very grateful; and I know that really it will be my children and grandchildren who will pay for these handouts during the next 30/40 years.

If it isn't a war it will be something else

Anyone received a re-start grant yet? Hopefully we'll be eligible as we received the LRSG grants for closing.
