Ive managed to build a small amount of surplus capital in my ltd co and would like to put some of it to work albeit with minimal risk and for no more than 9 months. what are the options? NS&I income bonds would have been fine but they are retail only. i was also thinking about gilts etc but what else? needs to have cash like liquidity and almost principal protected

what about loaning it out through a p2p platform like rate setter?

any suggestions other than 'leave it as is' would be welcomed!

9 months is 1% I'm afraid. I got a letter from guv begging for early payment so they might be having second thoughts.

and looks like ratesetter is not accepting new company lenders onto the platform not surprising in fairness given credit outlook

Have you maxed out your pension contributions?

Buying a van/pick up or leasing an EV?

I'm in the same boat. I put it in an Aldermore Business Savings Accounts.

However, the interest rate is now only 0.5%.

I put some capital into a WiseAlpha Business Account and have spread it over as many bonds as possible in sectors I feel are safer i.e haven't bought any retail/hospitality bonds, I have bought infrastructure for example. In 3 months I'm about 7% up so far and I keep reinvesting the interest payments in bonds I don't yet own to spread the risk further. Of course it's riskier than holding cash savings, but overall I think the risk is worth it when thinly spread over many many company bonds.

Should add that liquidity seems decent, sold a few bond parts as a test and all sold within 24hours.
