Just signed up as the company and follow you Dave.

One questions, we have a max of a minute, split in the 15sec sessions. Do you record as one straight minute of as 4x 15sec’s?? And the app pulls them together.

I think it will be great as a product blast type infomercial.

Hi Chris, using the app set to 60 seconds and record bits it synchs them - if you want to talk over a picture use green screen. It’s easy once you practise a bit. I love it. Once you have 1000 followers you can go live. I have a hack I’ll try to call you weds.

Sold a fan! Brilliant. And you are right, there are some gurus out there that would build a £297 course around that
Ah the Home Bargain £2.99 fan sold for £14.99 is better - I do it to satisfy my own sense of smugness biggrin

It’s refreshing to see you giving real advice, not trying to sell a course with the same regurgitated rubbish. Are you looking at becoming an e-commerce consultant?

P.s Congrats on the sale of your agency

All of my plans from 1/9 have been torn up, The £1 e-commerce club will be launched with the aim to offer fast no bull advice. I haven’t written the biz plan yet but I’m adamant it’s £1 a month.
Anyone want a Shopify, eBay, Amazon and linnworks e-commerce solution, 1 careful owner with 2 suppliers plugged in. Semi serious lol

Sounds interesting. With all these 'courses' and 'drop shipping' etc, is the ebay market not saturated by now with too many people trying to do the same thing?

It’s only saturated with course buying fake guru believing idiots, people who do research and buy right can make £. The Chinese can be hard to compete with.

Some people have a gift for it, such as DS. A lot of people will fail.

As DS will say, its all about starting with spotting the right product/developing your own product/exclusive rights to a product, and that is hard to do sufficiently enough to make a direct living from it, as opposed to a few quid on the side.

DS does give a lot of good tips, branding, trademark etc but he also makes it look easy.

Our eBay store has 200 sku’s listed, 10 of those account for 80% of daily sales - finding those diamonds make it worth the research.

eBay hasn’t got automatic re-pricing software like Amazon and can be an easier platform in that sense.... but I might be wrong? Can you confirm DS?

In building an own brand (white label goods?) you also should be good/excellent at directing traffic to those listing from socials like Facebook, Insta and I expect more recently from TicTok?

https://vm.tiktok.com/ZMJMEB2bW/

This sums up my thoughts on the difference in platforms. I’ve given up a lot of info but kept enough back.

On driving traffic from social media to a site / landing page sadly the public already has a scam / dropship perception and unless your a known brand it’s a hurdle to overcome in the creative.

On another note we’ve had 180 signs ups to theecommerce.club in 24 hours which I’m pleased with, if I can get to 1500 by sept I think it’ll have a chance of succeeding but it’s unknown territory for me - but exciting.

Shame you’re not doing Linnworks anymore as we’re seriously looking at that since Brightpearl seems to be getting more unreliable by the day. Just found out that I’ve got an unexpected five figure accrual to make for international VAT as Brightoeral as helpful not been recognising the Amazon feeds correctly frown

I’ll have a look at the e-commerce club though, I no nothing about Tik Tik apart from he fact my 10 year old makes silly videos on it.

So based on Mr DSL experiences and confidence in the platform I have just done our first TikTok product blast.

They will be in two formats. 15sec flyby with bullet point product specs and a longer 60sec spec review with voice overs.

I can see how Dave is addicted, learn a lot, quickly and really enjoyed doing it.

@americanaudioco if anyone is interested.

Good luck with it Chris, it’s quite a diverse audience which surprised me, I’ve just put a pay per call option in, let’s see if this is my new career,
