Yesterday things changed a bit, I was “live” with the intention of talking about supplier feed data into retail interfaces but realised this was far too advanced for the majority of my followers.

We had a bit of q & a then someone popped a URL onto the comment stream and asked what I thought. Now at this level it’s pretty easy to give instant feedback on the UX and appearance, if they want more in depth I’ll need GA and £ biggrin

So I’m going to advertise today that tonight I’m going to do reviews and ask for pre notice on the sites so I can check them.

Let’s see if I’m left hanging .......

Couldn't stay in for long last night.

Is there any way to watch back 'live'

90 minutes in the end and it went all over the place but 6 phone call bookings biggrin I need an iPad to shoot the pc screen when live or people can’t see.

Have a bump - I thought that username on TikTok looked familiar.

Their algorithm must be broken because I've tried to get it to just recommend women slightly too young for me to be looking at, but I seem to get a lot of snooker, road painting and the odd finance related video. Good luck. smile

I’ve tried a genius TikTok strategy today - I’ve criticised a guru with 3m followers on the basis the outraged many might follow me.

I’m having a whale of a time !!

Interesting thread, I'm only just beginning to explore FBA and potential ecommerce opportunities.

I've signed up to the ecommerce.club Dave, might even download tiktok...

The format for the club is interesting and one I am now thinking about doing for HiFi and AV News and Subscribers get 10% off on the store for the whole year.

Buy in need to be high enough to back the 10% give-away worth it, but low enough for buy in.

One for 2021 I think.

I’m still trying to scope it, helped by others on here and greatly appreciated. I have content galore but my delivery vehicle needs wheels.
Getting there though.

I agree with Super7 , the Dollar amount was off putting , but knowing who is running it was enough to give confidence to click.

We used Gumroad as a payment gateway which wasn’t a good idea. It’s easy to integrate as opposed to stripe needing some dev but it’s poor and we’re changing ASAP.
The FB group is open now and invites to subscribers have gone out. Again we’re changing to Klaviyo as mailchimp isn’t good enough.
My immediate tasks are to expand on the most popular Tiktok videos via the FB group and to arrange the multi participant zooms that the founder members were offered.
Steep learning curve for me as I’ve never done anything like it but big up to Hoofy who is helping with great insight.

(Yes, holy thread resurrection Batman).

Dave, how do you edit the videos for your TT channel. Do you do it in the App or do you use Canva or similar?

The answer is “badly” - I am truly st at editing and mainly just turn on the camera.

My best edited video was the Bentayga one that was just record n talk stop record n talk etc no skill just trying to keep interest.

Everything I do is in the app. I do not have any editing skills.

One of my case study users is bethwainwrightt
On TT - her brand Boosted is 100% from TT and she uses editing software.

Two of my personal favourites are
aketton Who is great at editing and funny
And
doublegspeaks Who has found a way to get several £ thou a month from basic editing.

I’m less arsed than I used to be as I’m 3.5 years in now and bloody 60 !! So probably getting boring.

Use Capcut for basic editing (web version on a desktop). Easier than arsing about with an app on your phone.

I use it daily for creating Shorts.

For high quality Long form videos (but with high quality comes an investment in time), try DaVinci Resolve. It's free but you can create 4K/UHD if you are patient enough to let your device render a video! It's TV/movie standard stuff, and the Photoshop equivalent to video editing (ie a pain in the arse to do anything) but once you have it figured out, you can do anything you want to do. This kind of thing is easy and quick to do once you understand layers, for instance: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KLgKE3cVsF8 (that's my channel).
