We have 5 of them in work and they are great.
Thanks Dave. I actually have some of these sockets already installed in the workshop so an adapter-cable is the perfect solution for me.

I have found this one which is a little cheaper:

Just check how you secure these to your infrastructure as it says "portable"?? Theft of chargers/cables is an issue or could be accidently taken...

And you think the point is valid?!

Tell him/her to plan a little better. Or bin the battery dream.
This made me chuckle - it’s pretty much my off the cuff reaction too. Putting it slightly differently to the sponging client: “that sounds like a you problem”.

However, if clients are asking for this you can probably rest assured that at least some of your competitors will oblige them. And then you’re suddenly at a competitive disadvantage, which converts what was a “you problem” into a “me problem”. Unfortunately.

It's cheaper because it can only deliver 3kW, not upto 22kW.

How much are you actually looking to spend?

For something that will just plug into a 3 phase commando socket then the Juice Booster is a good quality option, but you're not going to get any meaningful charge in 30 mins.

If you can go up to say £15k then you could get a portable DC charger that would be far more useful. You should be able to get a 40kW one which would need a 63A socket.

Read with interest, as our Planning authority just told our gym to add EV charging point....we only have 7 parking spaces, and behind us is a rarely used Public carpark with 3 EV chargers. Assuming our Appeal fails....what is the cheapest solution ?

We don't have 3 phase. We're a bit tight on available electric because of a sunbed, etc. Is there a 'solution' that would technically work, not cost the earth etc ?

Our clients generally stay 30-60 minutes, as we have no cafe or social area. Can't see the EV actually being used.

Thank you.
