In terms of investments where your cash is relatively safe, but also flexible in that you can convert to cash quickly and easily, what would anyone recommend. I have an ISA but also a student bank account that pays me literally pennies of interest on a fair bit of money.
I really don't have a clue but have looked at bonds and someone recommended an Indian bank that paid decent interest. Someone also recommended putting all my money in Lloyds TSB shares as well but it seemed too risky to someone who has no clue about the stockmarket. Unfortunately, it paid off quite well in the end.
Any suggestions from more experienced investers.

Thanx

You can't have it all ways. If you want flexibility and security, you will sacrifice potential growth! If such a product existed we would all be in it.

Cash ISA probably best bet - I know this is fairly boring. I don't know what sum of money we are talking about, but the best rate on these will beat most direct savings a/c's as interest is paid tax-free. A & L currently have one at 5.2%.
