Buying property in Italy
Discussion
Morning!
I've been directed toward what I hope to be a good property investment opportunity in Lake Como. It's a new build and the complete off-plan allocation has been purchased by a British Company. I've provisional approval on the mortgage but now need to undertake due-diligence before final signing of the contract.
The question is, should I be going to a British Lawyer or an Italian Lawyer? Anyone done this before and if so, would you have advice? (there may be beer in it!)
I don't really want to ask the sellers as my preference is not to have all my options from one source.
Thanks,
K
