If your PB return beats a decent bank account i would be amazed (you would have been VERY lucky)

On the basis that the average return on £30k is going to be similar to a savings account the only reason to use them is for a big win - and you are many MANY times more likely to win a million on the lotto than you are on PB.

stick it in a bank and buy a lotto ticket!

Not true. The odds of winning on PB's are much better than the lotto albeit with a smaller jackpot of 2x£1m prizes per month....and at least you get your pound back
