One of my managers, with a wry smile on his face, presented me with a "Government pack" of "No Smoking" signs which, apparently, need to be plastered all over the office walls and doors come July! The reason he had a wry smile on his face is because he knew what my reaction would be - and he was right I said "screw the Government". Our office has had a non-smoking policy for 15 years and no one has ever complained. A few people smoke and they discretely go outside every few hours, have quick drag, and then return.

However, come July apparently I'm required to put up unsightly no-smoking signs everywhere. Failure to do this can result in a fine! So I guess I'll be paying a fine then.

Yup, bloody joke - full details here - http://www.office-stop.co.uk/smoking_ban/

Oh and that BMW you say is for business, that'll need a couple too laugh

I think I'll take the risk myself, be very surprised if they prosecute for it (they'll be more interested in me smoking in the office anyway smile )

Good for you Sir.
And in return, I shall try my absolute hardest to not pollute your space with my smoke.

Better put them on the windscreen to be sure they're not missed.
