Direct Debit Facilities

Hi Guys & Gals

Just going through the process of being proposed by the bank for an Originator Number so that we can collect Direct Debit payments from our clients.

Having looked at the Direct and Indirect routes i think we are swaying towards the Indirect route as the set up costs associated with Direct collection seem very high and I do not anticipate us doing large numbers of collections.

So my questions are:
1/ Are set up costs for direct collection really as high as £3k plus
2/ Do any of you use a Bureau?
3/ If so how much do they charge and how do you find them?
