Thhe £18 is a persons 'personal allowance', much like duty free when going on holiday, It's not something that's decided by the sender. It may be changing soon - going up to £21 smile as each EU member set their own limit. It costs about £6 to collect the vat on items under £18 thus the reason for the exemption.

I wish them all the best. I love the idea of taking something and just simplyfying it and making it a success as they have - go to clintons, pick a card, queue forever, write the card, post it etc etc or go on to moonpig's website personalise and bingo it's gone.

I just wish I could find something to simplify on a similar basis!

The numbers of multiple cards per person make more sense if you take into account Christmas cards an wedding invitations.
