RE: PistonFest is back!
Discussion
Having this topic 'hidden' in it's own Pistonfest subforum within Events isn't likely to be seen by many.
Maybe a topic in the lounge would generate more interest?
I suppose there's also the risk of nay-sayers though.
Disclaimer
Nothing to do with PH or owt, I'm just not the camping type. Sorry.

A point I highlighted back on the 17th July:

Just a quick observation about the promotion of this event.
I too was interested in coming, noticed the threads about it back in May, then promptly forgot all about it.
So today, being bored and up before 5, I was browsing around here looking for something, and stumbled across the Btap thread, which talked about why it was cancelled and that it seemed piston fest was going in the same direction.
I then tried to look for piston fest info, but could not find it, as we know the search here, leaves something to be desired, but for someone like me who knows (hopefully!) my way around this place it was quite hard to find.
So it occurred to me,,that someone who is new here, or getting here from another forum or car related website, would, have no chance of finding out about pistonfest.
I then went to the PH main home page, and again no mention of pistonfest. In fact there is not even a section on the homepage for events at all?.
Finally I tried to look for it in the events sub forum,,but if like,me you have just the ones you look at regularly set up in your preferences, then it does not show up, as it's in it's own seperate sub sub forum, effectively hidden away.
I am sure someone from PH towers is on this, but I reckon the fact that with about 6 weeks to go to the planned date, it's time to get it more noticed and easier to find.
Just my two cents observation and only trying to be constructive to help the attendance numbers increase!
