How did you do the update – over the air or via iTunes on the computer?
If the latter, then simply sync the phone, ensuring the playlists are ticked in iTunes – that’ll put them back on, and the songs, assuming they’ve actually disappeared also.

I did the update over the air via WiFi. Luckily found the music backed up on the pc. I really thought the music would also have been stored in ICloud, apparently not.

So I installed IOS 11 on my IPhone 6 yesterday. Now I see that all of my music playlists have gone. The songs I bought from iTunes are there but the stuff I burned and all the playlists have gone. confused

Help!!!!
Turn on music in the cloud in Settings and wait a few minutes when opening the app. This is fairly standard practice for the OTA updates - they seem to sacrifice some user customisation in the settings.

Can anyone suggest why FaceTime on a MacBook Pro is not displaying the person I am calling or receiving a call from?

I can only see myself and I cannot see any option to see the caller.

It’s not a bad connection issue. There just is no window

Trivial but I have just re-enabled double tap to drag on the MBP. Buried under the accessibility menu now. SO much more intuitive than click to drag.

Does anybody else have trouble with Radio apps stopping after about 10 - 15 minutes? Very annoying and didn’t seem to happen before the latest IOS update.

I’ve been using ‘The Radio’ and ‘TuneIn’.

Currently using a MacBook Air, and purchased a MacBook Pro so I can pass on my Air to a member of staff.

I don't have an external drive to carry out a Time Machine back up to, is there an alternative?

Also, how do I clear the Air for a new user?

Thanks in advance.

This icon has appeared on the top right of my iPhone 7 today and I haven’t seen it before. What is it? I can’t find anything online about it because I don’t know how to describe it to Google hehe

Cheers must have somehow knocked it on by mistake. Googled how to turn it off. Thanks

Google OS X.?? Migration Assistant.
The same can be done to find the simplest way to return the Air to as new from Apple's Support KB or other websites.
It's going to take you a fair while, but that's par for the course.

Does that process clear the hard drive? Just thinking zeroing it out first if it does not.

Is it possible to back up someone else's iPhone to iTunes on your MacBook?

I tried to help someone back up and set up a 7 from a 5 (software all up to date) and it wouldn't give me the option on iTunes - merely to restore or set up as a new phone, no option to back up.

Yes but not in the same user account. Create an account on your Mac for your friend and log into that and you will get a clean iTunes and away you go.

Begrudgingly, I'm trying out iOS with my main SIM and it doesn't seem too bad so far. I have a 6 with the 11.1.1 update but battery life doesn't seem to be any good. Is this to be expected with an older phone or will it get better over time?

Any hints or tips or even information on why this is?
