Oh.... is there something in your back up that is vast? Shouldn't be that big though.
Odd.
Not that I know of, and it only stopped working after I filled it up then started deleting stuff.Odd.
I might pop into the apple store and ask them, it's the alerts that bother me more than the backup!

Perhaps increase your iCloud storage space and see if an increase resolves the problem. Then at least this can be one other thing to tick off the list. This will cost you 79p to increase your plan to 50GB. If this doesn't work, revert back to the free 5GB storage.
That's fixed it!I'm now using 7.5GB of storage - jumping from just under 5GB a month ago. The big things are Backups (5.1GB) and Photos (2.3GB), but bizarrely under the Backups is Photo Library (4.3GB) so I think it's now backing up my photos twice?
I might just turn off the photo backups as I get it free on Amazon Prime anyway.
Thanks for the help everyone.
Hi all.. iPhone question - is that ok in here?
I have a strange autocorrect issue and I’m struggling to find a way round it.
Every time I type ‘more’ it changes it to ‘kore’.
I’ve tried resetting the dictionary but it’s not sorting it.
Ios13.1 public beta 3 (I think it’s 3!)
Any help greatly appreciated.

Is it backing up the data associated with the Amazon Photos app - i.e. the photos? Can that be toggled on and off?I'm now using 7.5GB of storage - jumping from just under 5GB a month ago. Careful with iCloud, not really a backup as you can delete quite easily across all devices. Have another separate backup plan in place if you value your pics.
Also. Backup sizes. Not sure how it works on devices only but Apple Photos on my desk top creates many smaller thumbnails and it is a database. The actual photos are buried deep in the database but a lot of files are created to mange, preview etc. and the size of an Apple Photo library is often larger than what you actually have.

Guys can someone explain how you get and use an e-sim so I can separate work and personal numbers. I’m on Voda and I see the latest iPhones support it but can’t get answers.
Cheers
When you get an ESim from Vodafone they will send you a QR code. You do to to the cellular settings in your iPhone and add plan and then scan the QR code and you’re good to go. If you have a physical sim in there to you can use both at the same time or switch between one and the other Cheers

Cheers that’s brilliant so I need to ask Voda for a e-sim and await a QR code DSLiverpool said:

My advice is to choose a different carrier for the esim, incase there is a network failure.Cheers

So I need a few new apps for my phone and MacBook pro-most notably a time checker/invoicer for a new role. I've found a few (Harvest looks good) but they all require Mac OS 10.13 or above and my MacBook seems to be stuck on Sierra 10.12.6 with no updates showing. It's an early 2015 model if that makes a difference.
Is this something I need to pay to update or is it not possible? I can't even see an option to update? All automatic update checks are completed in system preferences and any help would be great if it's something simple.

I've just downloaded Catalina on an early '15 MacBookAir. So, I would think you will be able to update however I think you will have to download every update in sequence as they will only load on the last version. At least that what I think. I'm sure someone else will be along soon. But the short answer is Yes, you can do it.....So I need a few new apps for my phone and MacBook pro-most notably a time checker/invoicer for a new role. PS: No payments. Just go to System Preferences and look for a wee red dot suggesting download :-)
What he said - just successfully downloaded and installed Catalina on an early 2013 MacBook Pro.
You might have to manually go into System Preferences --> Software Update and look for updates if auto checking has been turned off. Or click on the Apple menu --> About This Mac and click the Software Update... button.
