I got it sorted. £200 and the guy chucked in a case. I might actually insure my phone from now.

No, but I notice you've not got a wireless connection in your picture?

I was led to believe that it will only update when connected via wireless.

Mine updated fine on Monday morning. smile

I'm getting exactly the same message with a Wi-Fi connection, and I'm not too worried about downloading a shed load of data at the moment as I've got unlimited data for three months from when I got the contract.

Ahh, in that case it must be that they're under a bit of pressure. frown

I'm getting the same thing on my S3 (vodafone) too, connected to wireless, still not updated. I guess it's just being rolled out in stages.

It is me or have they swapped the buttons for bookmarks and windows on the standard internet browser? it's annoying me already hehe

Looks like it. Also, the LED is dimmer when charging and 'Smart Stay' or whatever it's called doesn't appear to do anything any more (not that it was much use). Apart from that, quite happy with it.

Didn't want to put a tenner into a case I might not used, so bought a cheap eBay alternative:

Aware it's probably going to be useless and made of cheese but I'm hoping for a happy surprise biggrin

I shall be doing this tonight if not pushed to me by vodafone by then.

Here's this link to install Kies on your PC if anyone wants: http://www.samsung.com/uk/support/usefulsoftware/K...

My laptop won't recognise the phone for some reason but my home desktop is fine.

Couldn't do the Kies update using a PC, wouldn't connect to the phone. No problem with a Mac. How ironic.

Pretty much anything but white for me! It just seems to make devices look cheap and plastic.
