For some reason, and it's probably something I've clicked on in error, I'm getting an echo on everything. I've tried resetting windows default settings, but it's still happening. How can I stop it?

It's a 'factory fitted' Realtek AC97 audio device if that helps.

Thanks in advance for the help!

Double click on the blue square with the yellow circluar thingy on the task bar. Set the environment to none. Should sort it!

That one, down there!!

Or if XP has done it's usual hiding thing, it's in the control panel as sound effect manager.
