How do you protect a folder with a password ? ive tried but cant find out how

Ok XP.

Right click on folder>properties>advanced>encrypt contents which should allow only you to access the file with your log-on details. If somebody else uses the same long-on as you or if you wish somthing a little more comprehensive try downloading one of the programes from tucows using the link below.

I think you can only password protect folders if the drive is formatted to NTFS, if you have upgraded from another version of windows then your drive may still be in FAT32 format. You can change from FAT32 to NTFS but make sure you have backed everything up first as you cannot change back.
