Just sorted out another PH'r with a Virtual Dedicated Server... sounds like you want somthing along the same lines.

Feel free to mail via profile if you want any more info.

Its easy to make, super easy, just takes time and effort to make well.

is all you need to put a picture online.

Tho, the VDS Pro comes with an online image galley application anyway, to make it even easier

If you don't want to spend that much money, I offer virtual hosting (on Jamie's servers) for less £££.

Hosting salesmen aside, nobody seems to be answering your question! As someone who was in exactly your position a couple of years ago, I played with MS FrontPage which comes with MS Office. Clever folk and HTML purists scorn it but it works for me, eg www.blokewithacamera.co.uk.
So you make the complete web in a folder in your PC, then you need some space (that's where Jamie etc come in; I use 123-reg), then you need FTP software to get the stuff up the pipe into that space. I use CuteFTP.

My personal site, (very) simple menu and some image galleries which are automatically generated by Express Thumbnail Creator, so yes, very easy.

The hosting vultures have landed

Seriously though - I use Register1 VDS Pro web hosting and to date the service has been excellent.
