3 mobile and other wap sites

i've just bought a 3 mobile and I need to do some testing of a WAP service i'm developing but for some reason i can't access any wap site that is not part of 3 (i.e. can't see google etc). Maybe they've restricted internet access to there own network? Has anyone else had this problem.

Yes .. and I think they have. I read somwhere recently ( may even have been on here ) that 3 have a 'walled garden' I think was the term.. total windup ! Other 3G providers as they coem online are NOT expected to go the same way if I remember rightly.

Yup. It's incredibly annoying indeed. The phones I have in the lab do not allow me to change the APN either to move elsewhere.

One of the reasons I don't have a 3 phone.
