Google Nexus 5

Mine updated to MM a week or so ago, and recently power usage has been woeful - seems to be wifi related according to Battery in settings. It can go from 100% to empty in 5 hours.
Mine is exactly the same. Half a day and it's dead. Brand new battery installed and no change...MM is a duffer so far!My 5 has been great for over 2 years now and been fine to use bar one screen replacement due to smashing it. I stupidly opted for a 16GB model trying to save money (after smashing my Nexus 4) so space has been the only problem.
The 5X reviews are pretty ho-hum. I like the look of it, love that it has better specs and a fingerprint scanner but I do think it is poor value against the Motorolas, OnePluses, Wileys and the 6P.
Looking at costing over 2 years, it now seems that unless a full on budget or old phone is selected, you're generally looking at £700-800 rolled up cost whether you take a contract or buy sim-free and use giff-gaff or similar. The sim free option might result in better data allowances but ultimately the costs are in the same ballpark.
I've used giff-gaff with sim free Nexus phones for almost 5 years but I'm now considering picking up a phone on contract (24mths, 1-2GB data and hopefully free EU usage). Given the choices available, I'm leaning toward things like the Sony Z5, LG G4 and Nexus 6P. The Nexus is probably my favourite bar its mahoosive size. I guess I'd have to get used to 'enhanced' Android on the Sony and LG.

Just unwrapped it, it's lovely
Bare android, No apps (except Google), Fast.
Had to email my contacts from old phone to new and host photos on cloud though as no SD card and only a USBC-USBC lead, no biggie though.
Don't you synch to your google a/c ?Bare android, No apps (except Google), Fast.

Normally when I get a new handset it does a really good job of restoring stuff.

Likewise, it always puzzles me when I see people mention losing stuff moving to a new handset.Normally when I get a new handset it does a really good job of restoring stuff.
I just punch in my gmail account and password and a minute or two later everything is synced.
I've selected everything I want synced in the settings, and not had a problem in that regard since I had an iPhone many years ago.
