He said that in reference to tablets running full desktop Windows.
Erm... no, he didn't.I was replying to:

I wonder how apple will backtrack on the '4inch is perfect - anything bigger can't be used easily' and then claim they invented large phones or something
Because the tablet thing was exactly the same, but they chose wisely not to respond to Jobs' "rant" when people asked about it. They'll just do the same (wise) thing, as to ignore it.Tycho said:
Personally I think the back of the mockup looks terrible, almost like a cheap prototype although I suppose you'll never really see the back as everyone has cases for them.
These mockups are usually distributed to allow manufacturers to start setting things up for cases/docks, so that these can be available as soon as the phone is launched. This means the dimensions will probably be spot on, but the material/design could still change.
I like the fact that the screen-to-bezel ratio looks a lot better on these phones than on the current iPhones.
I don't think the back looks too bad, I just dislike the colour. It'd look a lot better in some shade of dark grey, pref brushed like the HTC One:

You do know that the new small ones larger than the 5s right?
If they've measured it in the usual way, i.e., diagonally, then it's the same size as a 4S. I live in hope!iPhone 4 with mockups for 4.7" and 5.5" iPhones

The 5n are all the same width as the 4S but a little longer, I would think a 4S user would be happy with the 5 size.

Apple will launch its next-generation iPhone 6 at an event on Tuesday, September 9, reports Re/code. The company has reportedly scheduled a big media event for that date and in the past, September has been a month reserved for the introduction of new iPhones.
Following the September 9 introduction, the iPhone 6 will likely be available to customers on a corresponding Friday roughly a week and a half later, possibly September 19.
I'm quite looking forward to it to be honest. My Ip5 is 2 years old next week and starting to do strange things...
I will not be holding out for the 5.5" that's for sure though.

Ok, that's good news. I thought the Keynote was on September 9th but if that's the release date of the phone then even better. I got the 5 a week or so after it was released so my upgrade will be timed very well. 4.7 methinks. I don't see the point of huge phones.Apple will launch its next-generation iPhone 6 at an event on Tuesday, September 9, reports Re/code.
