Its a concern of mine considering my job of getting on and off forklifts and in and out of truck cabs all day long.
Especially if I go for the Plus!
No doubt one bloke saying it happened then a thousand others claiming it's the end of the world. http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=17859...

But it was also an issue with the 5/5s! Okay, the iP6 is thinner and thus even less able to resist bending forces but that's progress supposedly .. (why oh why couldn't Apple use the extra volume for battery life?) http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=17859...

Well that's buggered it.
Picked up shiny new iPhone 6 on Friday by Sunday night it has a definite bend in it going from the sim slot to the volume buttons. Its probably managed 12 hours, at most,in the last 48 kept in the front pocket of my jeans, the same pocket where my old 5 lasted unbent for 2 years. A quick Google suggests I am not the only one either, I fear that apple may have gone a bit to far down the Colin Chapman school of design in making it thinner.
Back to the apple store to see if they can sort it
Oh dear! I seem to remember pics of the 5 getting bent from jean pocket syndrome as it was a much lighter and thinner frame than the previous iPhone. Just as I was seriously considering the 6 as a replacement for my Samsung S3, similar size and not bent from 2 years of jeans pocket.Picked up shiny new iPhone 6 on Friday by Sunday night it has a definite bend in it going from the sim slot to the volume buttons. I have a brand new 6 Plus in a box next to me going back to Apple having thought it was simply too big and then gone out and bought a normal 6.
Hadn't even thought of a bending issue, it's just too bloody big for everyday use for me. I'd have been gutted if i did try and use it and it started to look like a banana!

Seriously, how many people are just buying the 6+ blind and why? Clearly, Apple releases two models, why not do a little bit of research which one fits you best?
Or is it just a case of buying the most expensive handset because that has to be the best?
Genuinely stumped by this.

The 6 is almost exactly the same size as an S4 not an S3I've never had any problems with phones bending but then I engage brain - why would anyone think that given sufficient provocation they wouldn't!
Well I for one left the iPhone party after using a 4S for 6 months, although I'd owned 3 previous models. Have had a Galaxy S3 & S4 since and vowed not to go back to iPhones until they made a decent sized device. The 5S is the oddest screen size of the lot prior to the 6/6+.
Quite fancied an iPad Mini but now I can just opt for an iPhone 6+ instead and settle for the one device instead of both. Nowhere near the size of the iPad Mini but it's great that there's finally an iPhone that has a screen big enough to keep me amused.
Don't think I'm alone in this thinking either. About time Apple conceded that Android devices with much larger screens have been pretty popular and there is indeed a market for what are now apparently called phablets.
However, I will be popping into Apple Regent Street this week to have a play with one before fully committing to a purchase.

I've just found out my sister has one arriving from USA tomorrow. Will report back as to whether it's unlocked or not and whether the 4G works!
Cheers any info you can glean would be gratefully received. The differences of opinion on here are making me lean towards a UK sourced model but the price differential is massive. ZesPak said:

? There's virtually no difference in physical size between the S4 & S3 or the iP6.The screen size of the S3 (4.8") is more towards the 4.7" of the iPhone though. The S4 is 5".
Well 10,000,000 people can't all be wrong:

What are Vodafone like as a provider?
I get discount through work making their plan the cheapest by some way from what I can see but I've never heard particularly positive feedback about the network so wondering if I would be better off paying slightly more and going with EE?
I can’t comment on EE but I’ve never had any issue with network issues with Vodafone. On the 6 I haven’t found a location with less than 3G yet. My5 had good coverage not always 3G though. Their customer service isn’t the greatest I have experienced but is a vast improvement on 3mobile.I get discount through work making their plan the cheapest by some way from what I can see but I've never heard particularly positive feedback about the network so wondering if I would be better off paying slightly more and going with EE?

We're a small company with 7 phones on Vodafone and they seem OK.I get discount through work making their plan the cheapest by some way from what I can see but I've never heard particularly positive feedback about the network so wondering if I would be better off paying slightly more and going with EE?
To some degree in West Sussex it depends where you live, we have good coverage here, O2 is ste. Abroad we pay £2 per day to use our tariffs as if in the UK and the tariff in general (for a small business) is as competitive as the other providers.

Would be very interested to hear what they say when you take it back, thats a potential deal breaker for me...Picked up shiny new iPhone 6 on Friday by Sunday night it has a definite bend in it going from the sim slot to the volume buttons.
