Can you recover deleted text messages?

If both the sender and recipient delete a text can it be recovered or has it gone?

Almost certainly, but not within the realms of the means available to you. Depends on many factors such as the handset type, SIM, whether the messages are stores on SIM or handset, whether subsequent messages have been received that could overwrite the deleted text.

You've got a better chance if either handset has been backed up to a computer between the text been received and deleted!

I think it was 02,s few years back,all your texts were backed up online for you to access...only your account obviously

Just send an e-mail or text to the NSA, they'll take care of it for you

Also bear in mind that some businesses use software to record text messages centrally in the office for all their handsets, which makes them easy to back up/audit.

It depends. Which handset ? Storing on SIM, internal media or removable media ? How long ago was it deleted ? How many messages sent and received since then ?

(Once the message has crossed the network, recipient actions can't affect sender, and sender actions can't affect recipient).
