Lost android phone - Needs to be replaced, but how?
Discussion
Mrs Murdoch managed to leave her phone on the train at the weekend, and with no great surprose it hasn't been handed in to lost property. Her insurance doesn't cover lost / stolen.
Now, she only wants to spend £100 on a replacement (give or take £20).
What is the best android phone, 2nd hand is fine (I think) for this money? Any recommended retailers or websites to use?
Cheers

This is the answer I got when asking a similar question and it is the correct one.
Me and my Mrs both have them now (she sold her iPhone 4 and bought one) and we are both very happy with them.
The only "problem" is the camera, compared to some other handsets it's not brialliant. in fact sometimes it's downright crap.
If they could put a better quality sensor in the thing then it would be the perfect phone.

But then it wouldn't be £120.It's not just the sensor, it's the optics and the assembly precision. The camera is by far the most expensive part of a smart phone but for many people the least important so they've left it crap in order to bring everything else in at a great price.
It think Motorola have hit a proper sweet spot with the G, (yeah yeah )

I wouldn't call it crap tbh, yes, relatively to some high end phones it's far from the best, but it can take very nice shots in good conditions nonetheless. It's not just the sensor, it's the optics and the assembly precision. As said, for everyday use the Moto G doesn't feel budget at all. The screen for example (the thing you're looking at all the time) easily trumps the one on my 4S, a phone that still retails at double the price of the Moto G.
Most budget phones so far skimped on construction and screen, but the moto g has them nailed imho. It's also plenty fast not quite as fast as my N5 but again, easily makes my 4S feel ancient.
It's a good phone, if they launched it at £300 few people would bat an eye, but at it's current price it's a game changer.
