anyone know how to transfer lights from one hue bridge to another?
Last I did this it was delete the light from the one hub, and then add it as per normal to the new hub.

Grab the serial off the bulb before you start as that can help.

I have been busy setting up my Hue kit but I'd like to be able to control two lights in the same room individually.

OK I could set the lamps up as different rooms but it would seem logical to be able to layer down to individual lights within a room.

I have set up two Hue dimmer switches in the rooms but currently they both switch on and off in the same way.

Any ideas?
As of a few weeks ago the Hue app (on iPhone at least) has "zones" which allow you to group lights arbitrarily, you could set a zone for each.
I have set the lights up in separate zones but i cant see how to attach a dimmer

The stock Philips app has very limited options for programming dimmers.

I'd suggest you look at setting up the dimmer switches using a 3rd party app. I mainly use Hue Essentials on Android which allows programming each button individually, you can do various cool things like setup multiple presses or different actions for a press and hold.

The only slight downside is then the labels won't necessarily match. I use a label maker to cover the factory markings.

My hue outdoor 5m strip has died. Annoyed as it's only 3 months old and hardly been used.

Would anyone kindly link me to some recommended Matt white holders for the GU10s on Amazon? Thanks

It was from argos il take it back tomorrow. Is there a app to automatically change colours. I've got hue disco but It can only handle so many bulbs at once. I have 20 e27s outside which I'd like to change from one colour to another for parties. Any recommendations please?

Not looked if they're available on Amazon but I used these..................

https://www.downlights.co.uk/integral-evofire-gu10...

"As the non insulation coverable version has no back to it, it has no height restrictions meaning you can fit deeper LED bulbs inside such as the Philips Hue GU10. The only height restrictions are your ceiling voids"

Edit: looks like Amazon do them but cheaper direct thumbup

Has anybody purchased one of these? I need a new light for the patio and it would be good to use with Hue disco for parties! £100 for white and £140 for colour.

Mine was delivered today....and set up.

Nice quality. I’ve paired a dimmer to it....but it’s not really dark enough to know how bright it is.

I tried putting another hue strip transformer into the broken light and nothing. Hopefully the new one will last a bit longer.

Has anyone done much outdoor stuff? I’m looking to get nice uplighters for some big trees in our garden. Wanted to get something hue with full colour control to integrate into existing schedules.

If you have done it and if you have any pics would be great to see.

I seem t have exceeded the capacity of my bridge with 27 lights, 3 motion sensors and 10 dimmers.

I’m puzzled

Tried to manage the routines down but I can’t see how I’m using the capacity

Any ideas

Interesting new products:

I really like the new bulbs - I've got a few pendant lights that are crying out for a more beautiful bulb.

The little button seems to come with a UK-sized back plate over here, which is fantastic!

Have ordered some of the new colour gu10's for the outside lights. WIll report on how good they are. These apparently dont need the hub if you dont have one as they are bluetooth. Does anyone know if they are planning on getting rid of the hub?

No they're not, the Bluetooth ones are aimed at getting you to eventually commit to the hub and wider Hue range.
